Cookware is often coated in toxic materials that can leach into your food.  Choose safer materials when it comes to your cookware to eliminate toxins and heavy metals from leaching into your food.

Cookware to Avoid

  • Aluminum: can leach heavy metals like cadmium & arsenic, linked to DNA damage (PMID: 32671619)

  • Non stick/Teflon: contains PFAS, associated with cancer, endocrine disruption, thyroid disease, Crohn’s, ADHD, higher cholesterol. “PFOA-free cookware” often contains PTFE, which is just as harmful. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK584690/)

  • Copper: can leach heavy metals, linked to oxidative stress & DNA damage which are linked to an endless list of health concerns (PMID: 32623684)

  • Ceramic: ceramic coatings are easily scratched, typically exposing aluminum core (see above). There Is a lack of transparency across ceramic coating materials which Is a huge red flag. Ceramics are known to contain tetraethoxysilane, which can be a respiratory Irritant, contains ethanol which Is a known carcinogen (See Safety Data Sheet)
